How Much Does a Webflow Website Cost in 2026?

A Webflow website built by an agency typically costs $3,000–$10,000 for a simple marketing site, $10,000–$35,000 for a CMS-driven site with custom design and motion, and $35,000+ for large multi-language or integration-heavy builds. Platform fees are separate and small — site plans start around $15 per month billed yearly.

Two numbers get confused in every budgeting conversation, so let's separate them before going further.

The two costs, separated

Platform fees are what you pay Webflow. These are small, predictable, and rarely the deciding factor.

Build cost is what you pay the people who design and build the site. This is 95% of what you will spend, and it varies by an order of magnitude depending on scope.

Most articles answering this question lead with platform fees, because they are easy to state and never change the answer. We will do the opposite.

What the build actually costs

These are market ranges for agency and senior-freelance work in 2026. They assume a designed site — not a template customised — built by people who do this professionally.

Project type Typical range Timeline What you get
Template customisation $1,500–4,000 1–2 weeks An existing template adapted to your brand and content. No custom design.
Simple marketing site $5,000–12,000 4–6 weeks 5–10 unique pages, custom design, basic CMS, responsive build, standard integrations
CMS-driven marketing site $12,000–30,000 6–10 weeks 10–20 templates, structured CMS with relationships, custom motion, multiple integrations, SEO foundations
Migration from an existing site $15,000–45,000 8–16 weeks Everything above, plus URL mapping, content migration, redirect implementation, plugin replacement
Large or multi-language build $40,000–120,000+ 12–24 weeks Many templates, localisation, complex integrations, design system, phased rollout

Hourly rates behind those figures vary widely by region: roughly $120–250/hr in North America and Western Europe, $60–120/hr in Eastern Europe and Latin America, $35–80/hr in South and Southeast Asia. A senior designer in Hanoi and a senior designer in San Francisco can produce comparable work at very different rates — which is the main reason the ranges above are so wide.

These are market ranges across agencies, not Capi's rates or a quote. Scope, region and team seniority move them considerably — tell us about your project for a scoped figure.

The six things that actually drive the price

Page count is the metric clients bring to the conversation. It is rarely the one that matters.

1. Number of unique templates, not number of pages

A 400-post blog built on one template is cheaper than a 25-page site with twenty bespoke layouts. Each unique layout needs designing, building, making responsive across breakpoints, and QA-ing with real content. Pages that reuse a template are nearly free after the first.

The cheapest thing you can do to your own budget: decide which pages genuinely need a unique layout, and let the rest share.

2. Depth of the content model

A blog with title, body and image is simple. A case study library where each item references an industry, three services, two team members and a related client — and those relationships power automatic listing pages elsewhere — is a different job.

This is worth paying for when it is right for you, because it is what stops you needing a developer every time you publish something. But it is real work and it should appear in the quote.

3. Motion and interaction

Standard hover states and fade-ins are included in most quotes. Scroll-driven storytelling, complex timelines, a hero that animates through four states — these can add 20–40% to a build. Motion is the single most common source of scope creep on Webflow projects, because it is easy to ask for and slow to build.

4. Integrations

Each one costs real time: CRM, marketing automation, analytics, consent management, chat, booking, payment, product feeds, internal tools. Most marketing sites need three to eight. List them during scoping, not after.

5. Whether design is included

A build-only engagement from a complete, developer-ready design file is substantially cheaper than design-plus-build. But "complete" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. Design files handed over without responsive behaviour, states, or edge cases push those decisions into the build, where they cost more and get resolved with less care.

6. Content

If your content exists, migration is a line item. If it does not, somebody has to write it. Copywriting is frequently excluded from quotes and is frequently what delays launch. Decide early who owns it.

Platform fees, properly explained

Webflow restructured its site plans in May 2026. The current shape:

Plan Approximate cost Suits
Starter Free Prototyping only — .webflow.io domain, cannot use your own
Basic ~$15/mo billed yearly Static sites with no CMS
Premium ~$25/mo billed yearly CMS-driven sites — replaced the older CMS and Business plans
Enterprise Custom Large organisations with SLA and compliance requirements

Workspace seats are billed separately from site plans. You need these for people who edit the site's design; content-only editors are handled differently.

Ecommerce plans are priced separately again if you sell through Webflow.

Add it up for a typical business: roughly $300–600 per year in platform fees for a CMS site with a couple of seats. Against a $20,000 build, this is rounding error — which is exactly why leading with it is unhelpful.

Webflow adjusts pricing periodically. Verify against webflow.com/pricing before budgeting.

What else belongs in the budget

Line items that get missed and then become awkward conversations:

Item Typical cost Notes
Domain $10–50/yr
Copywriting $1,500–8,000 Often excluded from build quotes
Photography or illustration $500–5,000 Stock is cheaper and looks it
Third-party tools $50–500/mo CRM, analytics, consent, chat, search
Post-launch support $0–2,000/mo Agree the arrangement before launch
Ongoing design retainer $2,000–10,000/mo Only if you ship new pages continuously

How to get a quote you can actually compare

Three agencies will quote three different numbers for what sounds like the same project, because they are pricing different scopes. Make them comparable by specifying:

  1. Unique templates — how many layouts need designing, as opposed to pages
  2. Content types — the collections and their relationships
  3. Integrations — named, in a list
  4. Design ownership — yours, theirs, or shared
  5. Content ownership — who writes it, who migrates it
  6. Handover — training, documentation, source ownership
  7. Post-launch — what support looks like, and what it costs

Then ask every agency to quote against that same document. If a quote comes back with a single number and no breakdown, ask for the breakdown. If it does not arrive, you have learned something useful.

Our guide to choosing a design agency covers the rest of that conversation.

Is Webflow cheaper than the alternatives?

Versus WordPress: higher platform fee, usually lower total cost of ownership, because you are not paying for plugin licences, security maintenance or developer time for routine content changes. We ran the three-year comparison in Webflow vs WordPress.

Versus Framer: Framer builds are typically faster and therefore cheaper up front, with lower platform fees. Webflow costs more initially and is less likely to need rebuilding as content grows. See Webflow vs Framer.

Versus custom development: substantially cheaper for marketing sites — often by half or more — and much faster. Custom development wins when you need application logic Webflow cannot provide.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Webflow website cost?Agency builds typically run $3,000–$10,000 for a simple marketing site, $10,000–$35,000 for a CMS-driven site with custom design, and $35,000+ for large or multi-language builds. Platform fees start around $15 per month billed yearly and are separate.

How much does Webflow itself cost per month?Site plans start at roughly $15/month billed yearly for Basic and $25/month for Premium, which covers CMS functionality. Workspace seats are billed separately. Verify current pricing on Webflow's site, as the plans changed in May 2026.

Can I build a Webflow site myself to save money?Yes, and for a simple site it is a reasonable choice. Budget 40–80 hours to learn the platform properly and build something you will not be embarrassed by. The economics change once the site needs a structured CMS, where a badly designed content model costs more to fix later than it would have cost to get right.

Why do Webflow quotes vary so much?Because "a Webflow website" describes projects ranging from a five-page template customisation to a multi-language platform with twenty templates and eight integrations. Specify unique templates, content types and integrations, and the quotes converge.

What is the cheapest way to get a professional Webflow site?Customise a well-chosen template with your own brand, content and a few layout changes. Expect $1,500–4,000 and a genuinely good result for a simple site — as long as you accept that it will not be a unique design.

Are there ongoing costs after launch? The site plan, your domain, and any third-party tools. Support or retainers are optional. A well-built Webflow site needs no mandatory maintenance, which is one of the main arguments for it.

Does the price include content?Usually not. Copywriting is typically quoted separately or left to the client. Ask explicitly — it is the most common gap between a quote and the real cost of launching.
